I’m going to make a computer game

Well, I’ve said it now. I guess there’s no going back!

A few months ago I decided it might be fun to make a point-and-click adventure game. It’s something that’s been a vague idea in the back of my mind for a few years, and for whatever reason, I was suddenly inspired to start working on it.

Making a video game is a pretty huge task requiring many different skills. I’m certainly not a master of any of them, but I have just enough experience to make it theoretically possible.

Since last summer, I have spent much of my free time starting to learn some of the skills I will need to make a game, including animation, 3D modelling, and Unity. This blog is intended to document my progress and keep me motivated.

I’ll go back to the beginning of my journey and show some of the small projects I’ve worked on, but for now, here’s a sneak peek at a mini game I’m close to finishing, as a way to prove to myself that I am actually capable of producing a finished game.

More to come soon!
